Living with a chronic illness can be a life altering experience. Most people can relate to minor aches and pains when they are sick, but life offers a whole new set of challenges when the condition is chronic, particularly for those who were once in good health.

Being diagnosed with a Chronic Illness sends a person's world into a spiral.  Unfortunately, unless family or friends themselves have a chronic illness they have no way of truly understanding how you are feeling emotionally or physically.  I, myself have a Chronic Illness, a genetic blood disease as well as suffer from Chronic Pain Syndrome, amongst other disabilities due to my genetic blood disease.  This gives me an advantage as to understanding, empathizing and knowing the struggles and battles you face daily.

While life is ever evolving for each and every one of us, adapting to a life filled with pain (mental and/or physical) and debilitation is a situation that offers additional challenges. Often times, support from an outside source is necessary for learning and applying appropriate coping skills. Research has shown that life coaching is extremely effective in helping those with chronic illness become better equipped with self management skills to live productive lives

We often become overwhelmed by our illness or disability and let it define us.  My coaching helps my clients learn that they in fact define their illness/disability.  

With my own experience in dealing daily with a Chronic Illness for over 20 years as well as building support groups on Facebook for different Chronic Illnesses that have flourished I believe I can help you as your Life Coach.
